Privacy Policy - Credme

Last updated: [03.02.2026]

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how personal data is processed when you use the Credme mobile application and any related websites (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Data Controller and Contact Details

The controller of your personal data is Čiekurs EI SIA
Registration No.: 50203350621
Address: Putnu 14, Saldus, Saldus nov., LV-3801, Latvia
Email: app@ciekursei.lv

2. What the Service Does

Credme provides financial information, including comparisons of lenders/offers, financial calculators, and educational content. The Service is informational. If the Service contains links to third-party services (e.g., lenders), those providers apply their own terms and privacy policies.

3. What Data We Process

3.1 Data you provide directly

Depending on the sign-in method and features you use, we may process:

  • Email address (if you create an account using email) — for account setup, authentication, and communication.
  • Basic Google account information (if you use “Sign in with Google”) — such as your email address and/or account identifier, solely to enable authentication.

3.2 Data collected automatically

To operate and improve the Service, we may process:

  • Device and app information (device model, operating system version, app version, language settings).
  • Diagnostics and crash data (e.g., crash logs, performance metrics).
  • Internal identifiers (e.g., user ID) to associate your account with Service functionality.

3.3 Calculator data

Financial calculator inputs are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

3.4 Sensitive data

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as bank account details, identity document numbers, or precise GPS location), unless you deliberately provide it and it is required for a specific feature.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to:

  • create and maintain your account, enable sign-in, and operate the Service;
  • provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • improve performance, stability, and security (error analysis, preventing abuse);
  • store your settings and preferences;
  • (if applicable) send informational messages/updates only when required to provide the Service or when you have consented.

5. Legal Basis

Where applicable, we process personal data based on:

  • contract performance (to provide the Service);
  • legitimate interests (security, maintenance, improvement, fraud/abuse prevention);
  • consent (for optional features such as marketing, if any);
  • legal obligations, where required.

6. Sharing of Data and Partner Transparency

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

We may share data:

  • with service providers (e.g., hosting, authentication, crash reporting) strictly as needed to operate the Service and under confidentiality and data protection obligations;
  • with authorities if required by law or binding legal requests.

We use Firebase services provided by Google LLC to operate the Service (including authentication and infrastructure) and, where diagnostics are used, to improve stability and security.

Partner links / redirection: Credme may include links to third-party websites (e.g., lenders). When you leave our Service, the third party’s privacy policy applies. In some cases, we may receive compensation for referrals (e.g., a commission), but this does not affect your rights or our privacy commitments.

7. International Data Processing

To provide the Service, personal data may be processed outside your country. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Account data: stored while your account remains active. After you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize account data within a reasonable timeframe, unless retaining certain data is necessary to comply with legal obligations, ensure security, or resolve disputes.
  • Customer support correspondence: stored for up to 12 months after the last interaction, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Diagnostics/crash data: generally stored for up to 180 days (or less if no longer needed) to improve stability and security.
  • Calculator inputs: not stored on our servers.

9. Cookies and Web Analytics

Our websites (including the account deletion page) may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure proper operation and security (e.g., maintaining sessions). Currently, we do not display a separate cookie banner; if we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will provide appropriate notice and, where required, obtain consent.
You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, or object to the processing of your personal data, and in certain cases request data portability. The scope of these rights may vary depending on your jurisdiction. To exercise your rights, contact us at app@ciekursei.lv.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in your country of habitual residence, your place of work, or the country where you believe an infringement occurred. As the controller is established in Latvia, the supervisory authority in Latvia is the Datu valsts inspekcija.

11. Account Deletion

You can request account deletion online. If you have questions about the deletion process, contact us at app@ciekursei.lv.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18+ or the age of majority in your country (if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available within the Service and/or on related web resources.
